Containers For Change Scheme
Containers for Change is a state-wide container deposit scheme that lets you cash in eligible containers for 10-cents each.
In WA, we use more than 1.3 billion eligible drink containers each year and it accounts for 44% of litter.
Did you know?
That’s enough drink containers to lap WA 6 times!
Western Australia is the fifth state or territory to adopt a container deposit scheme, following the lead of South Australia, Northern Territory, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and most recently, Queensland.
How It Works
Collect eligible drink containers such as plastic & glass bottles and cans.
Bring your eligible containers to our refund point depot or mobile pop-up to be recycled.
Get paid in cash or via your Member Number (formerly Scheme ID) to get paid direct to your bank account.
OR Donate your containers to one of our registered local charity groups or fundraisers.
If you have any questions about the Scheme, want to fundraise or raise revenue with the scheme, get in touch with us.
